The Color of the Day Is...Red!

Yes! I made it in here TWO days in a row! Today's color is Red. Gotta love that color. Hearts are red, roses are red, Rudolph's nose is red...I think you get the idea. Grab that glass of Red Red Wine and let's take a look at some fine Etsy artisans!

Check out this great photograph from WillowsWorld's shop:

And I've got a super cool ACEO photographic print in my shop that matches my color of the day...along with many others. Go check them out! (don't make me make you do it!!)

Here are the first two steps that I have taken towards my Faerie colored pencil drawing.

The very first thing I did was sketch out a faerie. I've never drawn one before, and I have a hard time drawing what isn't sitting right in front of me, so I think she turned out pretty good.

My next step was to use a piece of tracing paper and 'copy' my drawing onto it, so I can transfer the image to my drawing surface. Super, duper easy steps here, but it took me a while to do, between hubby and kids and housework....anyone wanna volunteer their maid services?? I guess not, ey?

Check back in for more!
